Kiwanis Mid-Year Education Day

Exclusively for Ohio Kiwanis members.

The Kiwanis Mid-year Education Day is an opportunity for Kiwanians across Ohio to come together for a day of leadership development, vision planning, inspiration, networking, and member recognition.

Building on Governor Kelly Brown’s Pollinator Project, the event theme is Spread Your Wings and Take Flight.

Save Ohio Bees founder, Tracy Teuscher, will present a luncheon keynote about native bees of Ohio, and offer meaningful ways to mitigate the threats they face, from creating pollinator habitat and naturalizing lawns, to leveraging public programs and contributing to citizen science. Attendees will:

Be part of a global weekend of action to celebrate the Earth’s only flying mammals and promote their conservation.

Bring the family and visit us on July 22 for a special Chef’s Garden event at Farmer Jones Farm Market in Huron, Ohio called Pollinator Pupils. This event is for children age 4 and up.

Join Save Ohio Bees™ founder Tracy Teuscher, Dr. Amy Sapola, and Jasmine Skrada.

Tracy will talk about native bees and how to help them thrive, and engage the children through art and singing.

Dr. Amy Sapola will talk about developing a mindful relationship with food, and will share the connections between bees and healthy food, soil, and people.

Jasmine Skrada will share a bit about honey bees.

Presentations will be offered at 11:00 and Noon.
