Join us on Earth Day weekend at the Oberlin Preserve, a 63-acre prairie established on historic land. Meet our founder, Tracy, for a relaxed Q&A in the gazebo, along with a coloring station for the kiddos.
Oberlin Preserve will also host guided explorations by Judy Semroc, Kate Pilacky, and Ray Stewart, with opportunities to identify wild plant and animal species using the iNaturalist app and record them with Biodiversity Bingo.
AND, MORE
Discover some of the native bees and other wild pollinators that live in the prairie.
Walk the prairie trail and get tips on how to create a pollinator oasis in your backyard.
Color a bumble bee or a butterfly! Or, both!
PARKING
Park in the Recreation Center lot, located next to the Right of Way Trail on the east side of the Preserve. From there, walk to the Chimney Swift kiosk next to the pavilion that will serve as our main gathering space.
PART OF THE CITY NATURE CHALLENGE
This event is part of the 11th annual City Nature Challenge, where cities around the world document wild plants and animals using the iNaturalist app.
