Save Ohio Bees is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to restoring pollinator habitat, funding conservation, and providing educational resources to the community. It is a place-based and relational approach to mitigating the threats to native bees and pollinators.

With support from great people like you, we have restored 60,256 square feet of pollinator habitat through the Pollinator Partnership, helped fund two conservation programs at the Wilderness Center, and empowered thousands of Ohioans through our new website resources, Facebook, and Instagram.

In 2022, Save Ohio Bees™

  • Was hosted by WHBC to promote World Bee Day

  • Presented to the Lake Erie Allegheny Partnership/Western Reserve Land Conservancy

  • Was featured by the Canton Repository and Voyage Ohio Magazine

  • Became an official Ohio and National Native Plant Month supporter

  • Co-created a World Bee Day event with the Wilderness Center

  • Exhibited at Nature Fest at the Wilderness Center

  • Attended the Pollinator Partnership Project Wingspan Agricultural Lands Program and met with representatives of P2, Ohio U.S. Fish & Wildlife, and the Granville LandLab

  • Attended the Northeast Ohio Pollinator Symposium

  • Attended the OSU Bumble Bee Short Course

  • Attended the OSU Tending Nature Series  

  • Connected with Osmia Bee in Cincinnati

  • Welcomed new artists to the Collaborative

  • Helped the community safely deter carpenter bees and yellow jackets without pesticides

  • Helped the community connect with honey bee specialists for abandoned hives and swarms

  • Met with a University of Cincinnati student to create campus pollinator habitat

  • Supported a Buckeye Valley High School student in creating campus habitat

  • Received more than 5K website page views, and reached more than 17K Ohioans on FB
