Suntrol Sponsors Save Ohio Bees™

As part of its commitment to environmental conservation, Suntrol has announced its support of Save Ohio Bees™ as a $2,500 matching gift sponsor this year.

“Native bees and other pollinators are vital to sustaining healthy ecosystems including the food supply,” said John Hansen, Suntrol’s president and founder. “Suntrol is a strong advocate for environmental conservation and we are proud to support Save Ohio Bees as a sponsor.”

“One in four North American bee species are imperiled including the American bumble bee, the country’s most essential pollinator,” said Tracy Teuscher, APR, OCVN, founder of Save Ohio Bees. “Loss and fragmentation of habitat is one of the key contributors to this crisis.”

Teuscher, a certified ecotherapist and naturalist, founded Save Ohio Bees to help restore and conserve pollinator habitat and provide educational resources to the community. 

“Every $100 we raise restores 1,600 square feet of habitat or funds conservation, and it only takes five flowers to feed a baby bee,” Teuscher explained. “With generous supporters like Suntrol, we can multiply positive ecological impact in the region.”     

Suntrol will match the first $2,500 raised and The Buzz Maker will match the first $1,000 raised.
